Portsmouth residents fed up with mosquitoes voiced concerns at council meeting

A Portsmouth neighborhood invaded by mosquitoes took their complaints straight to city council Tuesday night.

NewsChannel 3 told you how folks in the Churchland section of the city felt they were being overrun with the blood suckers.

City council member Bill Moody spoke with NewsChannel 3, agreeing with neighbors saying the city wasn’t doing enough.

After our report, trucks were out in Churchland spraying for mosquitoes.

But those same neighbors showed up to city council saying it’s still not enough.

City council said they’ll keep looking into exactly what more they can do to keep the mosquito population under control.
