Sea turtles are taking over Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

As of yesterday, the National Park Service has documented 155 nests. That’s a record.

The previous record was 154.

July is typically the peak month for turtles to come ashore and nest, so the National Park Service expects to see even more turtles.

It takes about 55 to 60 days for the eggs to hatch.
