Man shot, killed in Newport News

Investigators say they received a call about a shooting on Aqua Vista Drive at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday night.

They found a man shot several times. He was rushed to the hospital, but he died.

Witnesses told police the victim was leaving a party.  A group of four was nearby and one of those men shot the victim police say.

Witnesses say those four men got into a silver car and took off.

Police are asking anyone with information to take action against crime and call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
