Water distribution exercise in Virginia Beach today

According to Virginia Beach city officials, the city will conduct an emergency exercise to test the city’s ability to distribute water to citizens in the event the water supply is ever compromised, such as after a severe storm.

Officials say the information gained from the exercise will allow the city to refine its response plans in the event the public water supply is disrupted.

The event will take place today –  Wednesday, June 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

There are two locations for the event: First Colonial High School, located at 1272 Mill Dam Road in Virginia Beach; and Salem High School, located at 1993 Sun Devil Drive in Virginia Beach.
