Proposal killed that would allow hens in KDH town limits
According to a report posted to Outerbanksvoice.com, a vote by the Board of Commissioners killed a proposal to allow chicken hens within the town limits of Kill Devil Hills.
The report says the public hearing was held Monday night.
According to the story, some speakers mentioned that sharing eggs would bring neighborhoods together. But others warned that keeping hens would affect property values. They also cited potential health problems, odors and noise.
