Investigators say 29-year-old Adam Kuykendall was making meth inside of a Velva Drive home in Chesapeake.

Crews in HAZMAT suits bagged evidence that was pulled from the possible meth lab that included soda bottles that were cut in half.

Police say they had their eye on Kuykendall for a while and after an undercover sting, investigators say they had enough for a search warrant of his house.

Those who live in the neighborhood say they aren’t surprised Kuykendall was arrested for drugs.

But they say to learn a possible meth lab was in their neighborhood makes them nervous about the dangers to which they could have been exposed.

Kuykendall has been charged with one count of manufacturing meth. He’s in jail being held without bond.

Police say they are waiting on test results from the evidence collected to determine if Kuykendall will face other charges.
