Public Works is installing a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Laskin Road and Arctic Avenue that will be in operation beginning Monday, February 13, 2011.With the completion of Phase III of the Laskin-Gateway project in May 2011, the traffic signal was removed and replaced with 2-way stop signs on Laskin Road. This temporary traffic signal will replace the stop signs at the intersection and will remain until Phase IV the final phase is completed, tentatively June 2013. At that time, the new Laskin-Gateway traffic configuration will take effect and the temporary traffic signal will be removed.
Crews will begin the installation this week and the signal will be operative beginning Monday the 13th.
